Copper Square Solid Bar - C110
Copper Square Solid Bar C110 is a solid bar with a square cross-section, produced from Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) copper with a minimum copper content of 99.90%. Its equal-sided profile gives a large, flat contact area on all four faces, making it well suited to electrical connections, heavy-duty conductors and machined parts where a rigid, space-efficient section is required. The bars are extruded or drawn to close dimensional tolerances, with sharp or slightly radiused corners depending on the specification. They are available in soft and hard tempers and in a broad range of side lengths and bar lengths. Production normally follows ASTM B187 and equivalent European standards such as EN 13601 and EN 12167 (Cu-ETP / CW004A).Material PropertiesComposition: Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) copper, UNS C11000 (C110) / Cu-ETP CW004A, with a minimum copper content of 99.90%.Electrical conductivity: 100% IACS minimum in the annealed condition, the international benchmark for conductive metals.Thermal conductivity: approximately 390 W/m·K, among the highest of all engineering metals.Density: approximately 8.89 g/cm³. Melting point: approximately 1,083 °C.Corrosion resistance: excellent resistance to atmospheric exposure, fresh water and many industrial environments, developing a stable protective patina over time.Fabrication: outstanding cold-working, bending and forming behavior; can be soldered and brazed with excellent results. Welding is possible but requires care because of its oxygen content (use brazing or oxygen-free grades where gas-shielded welding is required).Typical ApplicationsBusbars, bus links and power connections in switchgear and distribution panelsEarthing and grounding conductors for industrial and utility installationsElectrical contacts, terminals, clamps and heavy-current connectorsWelding equipment, electrode holders and resistance-welding componentsHeat sinks, cooling blocks and thermal conduction partsMachined, forged or cut components for industrial and electronic equipmentArchitectural details, railings, furniture elements and artistic metalworkWhy Choose C110 Copper Square BarHigh conductivity in a compact, rigid cross-sectionLarge flat faces simplify drilling, tapping and bolted jointsReliable corrosion resistance for indoor and outdoor useEasy to cut, bend, forge, solder and brazeRecyclable and available in standard lengths or cut to sizeSpecification tip: when ordering, indicate the side dimension, length, temper, corner type (sharp or radiused) and the applicable standard. For bolted busbar joints, keep contact faces clean and flat, and consider plating to maintain stable contact resistance over time.
